Why do you inspect every property before you agree to insure it?  (TOP)

Our inspection is primarily for the benefit of our policyholders. First, by choosing to insure only homeowners who take pride in their property and keep it in good repair, we intend to keep the cost of our insurance as low as possible. That benefits every policyholder. If the inspection shows that your home does not immediately qualify, The Green Tree will inform you of what you can do to gain acceptance. Secondly, our inspection establishes the replacement cost of the home. This valuable service, for which there is no charge, puts homeowners in a position to fully insure their properties. Inflation has driven up the resale value of most homes but has also dramatically increased the construction costs which would be incurred if the home needed to be rebuilt or repaired after a loss. Over time, the limits of a homeowners insurance policy can become grossly inadequate should the home suffer a devastating loss. It is always wise, therefore, to be fully insured.  (TOP)
